As Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, PETRA pledges to lead Malaysia's charge in achieving our ambitious energy goals. Our commitment shines through initiatives like the National Energy Transition Road map, aiming for a 70% target in renewable energy installed capacity by 2050. 

We anticipate monumental growth in GDP and job creation, driven by renewable energy activities, underscoring our dedication to economic dynamism and sustainability.

The journey doesn't end here. Transitioning to renewables, including green hydrogen, is pivotal in slashing carbon footprints and fostering a low-carbon economy. PETRA collaborates extensively with ministries and private sectors to cultivate a resilient energy sector, propelling Malaysia's energy transition agenda forward.

Water, essential for life, poses global challenges. PETRA's Water Sector Transformation 2040 initiative aims to revolutionize water resource management, ensuring sustainable access amidst climate variability. With innovative concepts and a national water grid, we pave the way towards a water-secure future.

Our commitment extends to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Through increased renewable energy targets, expanded clean energy options, and regional cooperation, we propel Malaysia towards a sustainable future.
